KUIDFC − Sector Wise Investment Requirements (SWIR)

The Government of Karnataka has set up a financial intermediary, the Karnataka Urban Infrastructure Development and Finance Corporation, to formulate projects for infrastructure in urban areas, to mobilize funds and to implement Megacity Projects and externally aided urban Infrastructure development projects.

KUIDFC is the nodal agency for the externally aided projects and the centrally Sponsored Megacity Scheme:

  • To prepare, formulate and implement projects, schemes and programmes relating to infrastructure development in the urban areas of the State particularly land development, sanitation, road management, transportation and inter-connected subjects
  • To provide technical and other assistance to urban bodies for development schemes, including implementation of Master Plans
  • Online registration at ULB or through hospital with an automated computer-generated Registration ID
  • To extend financial assistance by way of loans and advances to urban bodies such as Corporations and Municipalities, Urban Development Authorities and other local bodies and institutions as may be notified by the State Government from time to time for their developmental schemes
  • To provide assistance and consultancy services to local bodies, authorities, urban development bodies and such other organisations for improving their technical and internal capacities and financial resources. Besides the above, the Charter provides many ancillary objectives

Purpose:

The user manual for ”KUIDFC - SWIR ” is meant for the ULB which explains the automation of the process of sector wise investment requirements till 2033. It provides data entry forms to enter town details, unit cost, proposed quantities for each ULB which has been selected for the scheme and user can also correct the data which has been already entered.

The application provides sector wise investments in each phase by each component. It has also one more feature - reports, where the user can view the reports on sector wise investment by division, district, category, town and consultant.
